What is factoring?
Factoring involves a company selling its unpaid invoices to a factoring company, which in turn pays out a percentage of the invoice value immediately – usually between 80 and 90 % – and handles the collection of payments from the end customer
When the customer pays the invoice, the company receives the remaining amount – minus fees – paid out. This differs from traditional loans as it is about selling rather than taking on debt.
